The Way to the Master

Ever wonder what the meaning of life is?
Why are we here and what are we supposed to do with our life?
God, our true Master, loves us and wants us to have life, peace and to live forever with Him and not separated from Him forever in hell.  We will all live forever whether we like it or not.  It’s our choice where we spend our eternity.  Here’s why God wants you to know Him…

God's Love
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"
(John 3:16 NIV).

God's Plan
[Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10).
Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life?

Because...
We are sinful and have separated ourselves from God.  He gave us all a free will to choose to obey Him or to disobey Him.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way, and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Man Is Separated
"The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23).

What is sin?
The Ten Commandments are just a portion of the rules we are to follow for our own good.  Because we have all broke them, none of us are good enough to go to heaven when we die.
Exodus 20:1-6 (NLT)

Then God instructed the people as follows:
[2] "I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in Egypt.
[3] "Do not worship any other gods besides me.  (whatever comes first in your life is most important to you and becomes your god)
[4] "Do not make idols of any kind, whether in the shape of birds or animals or fish. [5] You must never worship or bow down to them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not share your affection with any other god! I do not leave unpunished the sins of those who hate me, but I punish the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generations. [6] But I lavish my love on those who love me and obey my commands, even for a thousand generations.
[7] "Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.
[8] "Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. [9] Six days a week are set apart for your daily duties and regular work, [10] but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any kind of work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. [11] For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; then he rested on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.
[12] "Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God will give you.
[13] "Do not murder.
[14] "Do not commit adultery.
[15] "Do not steal.
[16] "Do not testify falsely against your neighbor.  (same as do not lie)
[17] "Do not covet your neighbor's house. Do not covet your neighbor's wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else your neighbor owns."
So, have you ever lied?  Even a little white lie?  Ever stole something?  Ever dishonored your parents?  The Bible also says that even thinking about breaking a commandment is the same as doing it.  For whatever is in your heart is the same.  Let’s get real…. Ever wanted someone to be dead?  That’s murder.  Everyone is guilty but God provided a way to be innocent again…..
There is only one way to get right with God again.

He Died in Our Place
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

A sacrifice must be made to erase our sin.
“for the life of any creature is in its blood. I have given you the blood so you can make atonement for your sins. It is the blood, representing life, that brings you atonement.”      (Leviticus 17:11)

He Rose From the Dead
"Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

He Is the Only Way to God
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6).
How do we receive forgiveness and eternal life with God as well as and abundant life and peace now?

We Must Receive Christ
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).

We Receive Christ Through Faith
"By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).

When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth
(Read John 3:1-8)

We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
[Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.
